I’m Alexey Krupinin, a Los Angeles–based artist who loves working with materials like gypsum, wood, ceramics, mirrors, and found objects. My background in studying architecture and civil engineering gave me a strong sense of structure, but art has always been where I find freedom to experiment.

I grew up in Ulan-Ude, Russia, where I was inspired by the bold shapes of Suprematism and Constructivism. Over time my work has shifted toward more organic forms, where I explore nature, modern life, and my own spirituality through making.

My latest series, Mycelium, is inspired by fungi and their hidden networks of connection. These sculptures mix wood, plaster, metal, and light to create pieces that shift in mood and invite quiet reflection.

For me, art is a way to bring together design, function, and emotion—a way to slow down, explore what connects us, and create objects that feel alive.
